We are delighted to celebrate the achievement of one of our learners Danny Hall, who has recently written a trilogy of children’s books titled George’s Secret Sofa. Created alongside their work in education supporting children and families, this has been a true passion project. Aimed at children aged 4–8, the series uses gentle rhyme and imaginative storytelling to support early language development and a love of reading, while exploring themes of inclusion, friendship, and celebrating differences.

The final book sensitively introduces ideas around pet loss and remembrance in an age-appropriate way. This work is a wonderful example of how professional insight and creativity can combine to create meaningful resources for young learners.
