Prostart Training offer £500 incentives to eligible employers who can offer a Traineeship work placement opportunity to 16 to 18-year-olds
Work Experience placements are a key component of the Traineeship programme. Prostart are looking for employers who can provide an opportunity for a young person to allow them to gain high quality work experience.
Offering a work experience placement gives employers the chance to:
- Get to know and work with a young person to see if they’re right for an Apprenticeship or job in their business
- Design a programme that suits the needs of the trainee and their business
- Develop current employees’ experience in training and mentoring
- Recruit new talent for their business
A Traineeship is a flexible training programme with work experience that unlocks the great potential of young people. This programme helps prepare young people for their future careers by helping them to become ‘work ready’. The programme includes a Work placement with an employer, work preparation training and where required English and Math’s qualifications. The training and qualification elements are delivered by Prostart.
This programme is designed to give trainees the skills and experience that employers are looking for. Work Experience placements can be offered for a minimum of 12 weeks up to a maximum of 52 weeks. The overall aim of the programme is for the trainee to progress into an Apprenticeship. Following the completion of the work placement, the employer will either offer an interview for an Apprenticeship or issue a reference.
