Operations Departmental Manager Level 5

I heard about Prostart through our Training and Development team. I was working as a Patient Pathway Coordinator and wanted to progress into higher Operational roles. Because of the Levy funding it meant I could continue working fulltime while also gaining a qualification. It was super easy to do it within my normal working hours and everything had moved onto a remote/digital format due to Covid.


The main benefits for me have been gaining further qualifications to help within my current role and for personal development and career growth. Throughout both courses my tutors and trainers were incredibly supportive, my most recent tutor Tracy regularly kept in touch with me even if she was on leave! Which is naughty but it was so appreciated because it made me feel like I mattered. My employer has supported me by having all options available on their Training and Development site and yearly programmes.


My plans for the future is to continue to gain more qualifications if I can. I have actually just applied to the University of the Built Environment to do another apprenticeship which will give me a Masters of Science at the end of it.
