Operations Departmental Manager Level 5

Prostart was recommended to myself by a friend, I first used Prostart to take on a new Apprentice for the business. I then looked into which courses were on offer to suit my needs and enrolled on a course myself. I decided to do an apprenticeship as I wanted to expand my knowledge and skills within the current role I held within my organisation.
The benefits of the apprenticeship have been the skills I have learned throughout the programme have helped grow the future of the organisation. I have been able to implement new strategies and structures within the business, which streamlines the day to day running of the organisation. Prostart have helped support me throughout the entire course, having regular check ins with my learning and development coach gave me the confidence to feel supported when needed. By attending portfolio days I was able to successfully complete any reports required. Having the protected time and knowing I have someone to talk to that day with any queries or questions I may have led to the successful completion of the course.
My employer allowed me the freedom to complete my course without any questions. Being a small business and at the highest level of management we do not have the infrastructure to ask for help from a higher level college. This is why my relationship with my L&D coach was so important. Carrying out an apprenticeships gives you the knowledge and skills to carry forward in your everyday life not only in business but also in personal life. My plan having completed the apprenticeship is to continue to successfully grow the business at a pace which is manageable. I will now become a Shareholder and hopefully in the future a Director.
