Blood donation is an important cause with members of the Prostart staff having given blood previously. According to the UK blood donation statistics the proportion of older donors aged 45 and over is steadily rising over the last five years: 2018/19: 48.7 percent; 2019/20: 49 percent; 2020/21: 49.4 percent; 2021/22: 49.9 percent; 2022/23 51.1 percent.
